Five Simple Tips to Keep Your Pelvic Floor Healthy

Strengthen Your Pelvic Floor

The pelvic floor is the largest muscle in the human body. It’s also one of the most important: It supports your bladder, uterus, vagina and rectum. That’s why it’s so important to keep your pelvic floor healthy! Here are five simple tips that will help you strengthen this vital part of your body:

Many women aren't even aware of their pelvic floor.

Many women aren’t even aware of their pelvic floor. The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that supports the uterus, bladder, small intestine and rectum. It’s like a hammock that helps to support your internal organs. A strong pelvic floor can improve your quality of life by helping you with urination, bowel movements and sexual function.

But many women do not know how to exercise this muscle group or even want to learn more about it because it can be embarrassing for some people – which is why I like talking about this topic so much!

1. The pelvic floor is like any other part of your body: It should be exercised regularly.

Just like any other muscle in your body, the pelvic floor muscles need to be worked out in order to stay strong and healthy. If you want a happy bedtime or sex life, or if you’d just like to prevent problems with incontinence and prolapse later in life, then it’s important to work out those Kegel muscles. While this may sound daunting at first (especially if you’ve never done Kegels before), it’s actually quite simple and can even be fun!

There are several ways that people exercise their pelvic floors on their own:

  • Doing Kegels while they’re sitting down (or standing up)
  • Doing Kegels while lying down

2. Breath right during your exercise routine.

Try this:

  • Breathe right during your exercise routine.
  • When you’re doing floor exercises, such as the pelvic floor Kegel exercise, breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, making sure to breathe deeply and evenly throughout the entire time it takes you to
  • complete each repetition of the exercise.

3. Don't hold it

If you’ve ever peed, you know that when you try to hold it in, the urge to pee gets stronger. You may also notice a slight feeling of pressure down there. But this isn’t just your imagination: Holding in urine can lead to UTIs and other issues.

How do you know if you’re doing it right? Well, if you feel like urinating all the time and have no other symptoms (like pain or fever), then chances are good that this pelvic health challenge is coming up for the first time. That’s why it’s important to educate yourself about how often and when it’s okay—and not okay—to urinate so that this becomes second nature!

4. Hydrate properly to keep your whole body healthy.

The next time you’re feeling thirsty, grab a glass of water instead of reaching for the soda or juice. You may be surprised by how much better you feel after doing this simple thing.

You might not think about your body’s need for hydration like you would when considering food and sleep, but drinking enough water can do wonders for your health in general. Not only does it keep your whole body healthy and functioning properly, but it also helps keep your brain clear and alert, which will help with everything from work productivity to social interactions (and maybe even romance).

It’s important to remember that we’re talking about pure H2O here; other drinks like coffee or tea contain caffeine which has been shown to dehydrate people over time as well as being unnecessary if all you’re trying to do is stay hydrated! If there’s anything else that comes out of these tips besides increased energy levels and better sex life then it’ll be that people are more likely to stick with them because they enjoy them more than the alternative options out there like diet sodas which aren’t actually good for anybody either…

5. Emsella Treatments can help you strengthen your pelvic floor

The Emsella Pelvic Floor Treatment is a simple and effective way to strengthen your pelvic floor. The treatment can be used to prevent prolapse, treat incontinence, or even reverse mild prolapse.

The Emsella Pelvic Floor Treatment uses electro-therapy to stimulate the muscles of your pelvic floor, which makes them contract more strongly than they do when coughing or sneezing. By using this method, after 4 treatments in four weeks, patients have reported significant improvement in their symptoms without having to lift a finger.
